Lighting guide
Choosing the right position makes all the difference.
1. Choose your use
| Room | Recommended position | What to measure |
|---|---|---|
| Stairs | Near the steps, with the sensor facing the walkway | The mounting space and the area to illuminate |
| Bedroom | Under the bed frame, with the sensor unobstructed towards the exit | The length of the side to illuminate and the distance to a socket |
| Kitchen | Under an upper cabinet, with the sensor facing the area you use | The available width and worktop length |
2. Check the power supply
A rechargeable model needs easy access for charging. A mains-powered strip needs an available socket and a cable of sufficient length. Check the product information to see what is included.
3. Identify the detection area
Range and angle vary by sensor. Keep it unobstructed: furniture, fabric or the bed frame can interfere with detection. Test activation in the intended position before permanently mounting the light.
4. Use automatic mode
Select AUTO or the detection mode described in the instructions. Some models only activate in darkness; others also offer daytime detection. Switch-off timing depends on the model.
5. Prepare the mounting surface
For adhesive mounting, clean and dry a compatible surface before installation. For magnetic mounting, use the support supplied by the manufacturer. Follow the instructions for charging, connections and maintenance.
